Sunday Salon – October 18, 2009

I can’t believe it’s Sunday already. My mini-vacation at home is coming to an end so soon. It greatly saddens me. I didn’t get much leisurely reading done while I was hiding away in my room at home. The weather was surprisingly warm and I found it difficult to concentrate much on anything. Still, I began to dive into Mercury in Retrograde by Paula Froelich. Let me tell you, it has been a treat.
This week I have been in paper writing mode. I’m a huge procrastinator and as midterms are approaching, more and more papers are due around the same time. It was pretty brutal but I got through it. Still, I finished my last paper for the week on Thursday at 3 AM. Not idyllic. Now I’m behind on my reading on all fronts so I plan to lock myself in my room today and work on wading through Wordsworth and selected readings on Latinos and political power. Fun stuff.
Have a great Sunday!
Still Kicking …

Hello book bloggers. Long time no see. Sorry I have been gone for so long. A couple weeks ago I got sick and then shortly there after, school became almost unbearably busy. Luckily this weekend, I managed to get away and rush home where things are quieter and I feel much more relaxed and sane. Between work and school, I’ve had very little time for much of anything. In school I have been reading a lot of interesting things. I’ve read Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and Measure for Measure. I will do a mini-review of my thoughts on both in the upcoming week(s). I’ve also been reading a lot of interesting articles about minority politics and I’m learning a lot! I’m hoping to return full force to the blogging world starting TODAY! I have so much to share with you all and I’m sure that you have much to share with me. Can’t wait for us all to catch up!
